We were fortunate to have recently been joined by Alessandro Cellai from Domini Castellare. Alessandro is the General Manager and Winemaker for Castellare di Castellina, a classical Chianti producer, and Rocca di Frassinello, a collaboration with the famed Rothschild family of Domaines Barons de Lafite Rothschild. Decanter Magazine recently named Alessandro amongst Italy’s stars of tomorrow.

During his stay in Australia, Alessandro hosted a series of wine tastings and dinners and he was the consummate host. An intimate media luncheon was also hosted at Café di Stasio. Guests at the events were treated to a tasting of the Baffonero 2007, a wine that has just become available in Australia.
