The estate owned by the Migliorini family is one of the best in Langhe, boasting 40 beautiful hectares of vines and an average of 250,000 bottles a year. Valentino Migliorini is considered one of Barolo's modernists, generous with new oak in his barolos and other wines. His wines have gained the enviable reputation of being a perfect marriage between tradition and innovation. There is a continuous search for improvement and means by which the land can be constantly protected and respected. The family take a biodynamic approach to the manual cultivation of their land and the care of the many animals and insects that thrive in such an environment. The efforts of the Migliorini family have been rewarded, not only with the superb wines they produce, but also their 11 Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri awards, including Tre Bicchieri for the austere 2001 Barolo Capella di Santo Stefano.
Typical aromas of cherry, blackberry, violet, vanilla and toasted, make it an intense and complex wine. Taste with a velvety texture, although the tannins are still quite firm, given the youth of the wine.
