Toscana Montesodi Riserva
A selection with its initial vintage in 1974, Montesodi Riserva is made only in exceptional growing years. It is produced from Sangiovese grown in the Montesodi vineyard, which, at 400 metres’ elevation, has always been regarded as the finest on the Tenuta for growing Sangiovese. It yields a rich, intense wine of remarkable aromas.

Colour
Intensely ruby red in colour
Nose
Floral violet notes and the fresh and balsamic ones. Also present are notes of bergamot and bitter candied orange. Highlighted by mixed berries such as blackberry and raspberry with an added light liquorish note
Palate
Fresh, complex and balanced. The tannins blend well with the body resulting in a wine that is velvety to the palate.
Food Pairing
Roast or grilled lamb, game birds (pheasant), pan-fried beef.
