Animaetnea
Animaetnea is a boutique winery on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, Sicily, founded in 2011 by the Moretti Cuseri family—owners of Tenuta Sette Ponti and Feudo Maccari. Its vineyards, located in the Santo Spirito district of Passopisciaro at 700–750 meters above sea level, feature ungrafted, century-old vines rooted in mineral-rich volcanic soils.
The estate focuses on native Etna varieties—Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and Minnella—producing elegant, mineral-driven wines that capture the mountain’s energy and purity. Notable labels include Animardente and Animavulcano Etna Rosso DOC, and Animalucente Etna Bianco DOC, all expressing the vibrant character of this extraordinary terroir.
