The Tramin Chardonnay wine with the Alto Adige DOC denomination is produced by the modern Tramin winery, a cooperative viticulture reality that is an expression of the traditional local culture with a rural vocation. The wine comes from 100% Chardonnay grapes, a white grape variety grown in the hilly foothill vineyards in the area of Termeno and surroundings. The variegated texture of the predominantly calcareous soil substrates, the significant temperature changes throughout the day, the lake influences and the presence of the mountains define a complex terroir, which finds its synthesis in an elegant and balanced wine. The grapes are harvested by hand, collected in small containers to preserve the integrity of the bunch and immediately processed by soft pressing. The vinification of the Tramin Chardonnay takes place entirely in small stainless steel vats, starting from the fermentation, with only a small malolactic part, up to the aging for three or four years. The result is a harmonious, soft wine with intense fruity notes, persistent and with a good structure on the palate. A wine that never tires, perfect for aperitifs or to accompany first courses, including fish.
