Trento
Cavit (Italian acronym of Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino – Trentino Grape Growers’s Cellar) is a cooperative group uniting 11 Cellars of Trentino with overall 4,500 associated grape growers.
Today Cavit gathers, inspects and selects the wine produced in the associated cellars, supervising each phase: from refining to bottling, all within respect of the environment.
The Cavit vineyards enjoy the warming effects of the "Ora del Garda," a dry, balmy breeze that sweeps across Lake Garda and protects the fruit from external moisture and disease. Contrastingly cool evenings promote rich, intense aromas and flavors in the grapes.
Bright ruby red colour which develops brick red tinges with ageing. Very pronounced red fruit and cherry nose with hints of almond and notes of vanilla. A bottle maturation period confers this wine excellent balance and elegance.
Lightly honeyed spicy nose with distinct floral, apple and citrus notes. Added complexity from white spice, honey and almond characters. On the palate it shows ripe fruit and lightly nutty flavours balanced by crisp, lemony acidity. Good weight and texture through to the finish.
