Valpolicella Classico Superiore
The Zenato Valpolicella Classico Superiore is produced from a blend of corvina, rondinella, sangiovese, and molinara grapes sourced in Negrar, Sant’Ambrogio, Pedemonte, Fumane, San Pietro in Cariano, all coomunes in the province of Verona. An elegant almond-scented bouquet, classicly Valpolicella. Shows dry and full-flavoured, with an excellent, velvet-contoured structure.

Nose
An elegant almond-scented bouquet, delicate, reminiscent of maraschino cherries and wild berries.
Palate
Smooth, round with the right balance between freshness and savoury notes. Dry and full-flavoured with tones of dried plums, bitter chocolate and dried herbs.It has an excellent contoured structure of velvet tannins, fine acidity with a long persistent finish.

Serve at 14-18C
Food Pairing
Serve with pasta with red sauces and white meat, roasted or grilled.
TECHNICAL NOTES
Site
Costalunga, Valpolicella 300metres above sea level.
Vinification
After hand-harvesting, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed, followed by the traditional 6-7 day maceration on the skins. The wine is kept in steel until pressing off, then completes malolactic fermentation, followed by maturation in 33- and 50-hl oaks cases.
Ageing
Can be cellared 5-8 years.
